Athletes & Teams

Manage rosters, assign teams, and import data from CSV files. Requires Director.

Adding Athletes

Athletes can be added individually or imported in bulk. Each athlete has:

• Name — First and last name
• Identifier — Bib number, lane, race number (depends on sport type)
• Team — Optional team assignment
• Gender — For gender-specific event placement
• Age Group / Category — For age-group competitions
• Metadata — Additional custom fields

Team Management

Create teams to organize athletes. Each team has:

• Team name and short name/abbreviation
• Primary color (used in reports and overlays)
• Roster of assigned athletes

CSV Import

Import athlete and team data from CSV files for quick roster setup. The flexible import system:

• Auto-detects columns — Recognizes common column names like "Name", "First Name", "Bib", "Team", etc.
• Preview before import — See how the data will map before committing
• Manual column mapping — Override auto-detection if needed

Meet Import

For complete meet setup, use the Meet Import feature to load a full event schedule with entries, athletes, teams, and seed times from a single CSV file.
