Automatically generate heats and assign lanes using seed times. Requires Director.
When you have athletes entered into an event with seed times, RaceTimerPro can automatically distribute them across heats and assign lanes based on industry-standard seeding algorithms.
| Order | Description |
|---|---|
| Slowest to Fastest | Standard track & field order. Slowest athletes in early heats, fastest in the final heat. This is the default for most competitions. |
| Fastest to Slowest | Fastest athletes run first. Used in some invitational formats. |
| Random | Athletes are randomly distributed across heats. Useful for fun runs or when seed times aren't available. |
To generate heats:
Within each heat, athletes are assigned to lanes based on seed time. In track events, faster seeds typically get preferred middle lanes. You can manually adjust lane assignments after generation if needed.
Athletes can be scratched from events. Scratched entries are removed from heat assignments and the remaining athletes are redistributed as needed.
