Play up to 4 race videos in perfect sync to compare performance, form, and splits. Requires Pro or Director.
Video Compare lets you select multiple race recordings and play them back simultaneously with synced controls. Every video advances in lockstep — when you scrub, step frame-by-frame, or adjust playback speed, all videos move together. This makes it easy to compare:
Open Compare from the quick tools bar (the "Compare" button appears when you have 2 or more videos). This opens the video selection screen.
You can pull videos from different sources:
| Source | Description |
|---|---|
| Current Folder | Videos from the folder you were browsing |
| All Videos | Every video in your library |
| Specific Folder | Pick any color-coded folder you've created |
| Smart Folders | Recent (last 7 days) or Unorganized videos |
Videos are grouped by the race they were recorded during, making it easy to find the right clips. Each section shows the race name, date, and event. You can select videos across different races and even different folders.
Tip: You can select between 2 and 4 videos. Two videos play side by side. Three or four arrange in a 2×2 grid.
Once you select your videos and tap Compare, they open in a full-screen synced player. All videos are aligned to the same race time, so frame 1 of each video shows the same moment relative to when the timer started.
| Control | Action |
|---|---|
| Play / Pause | Start or stop synced playback across all videos |
| Step Forward / Back | Advance or rewind 1 frame at a time, all videos in sync |
| Skip 10 Frames | Jump forward or back 10 frames at once |
| Scrubber | Drag the timeline to jump to any point in the race |
| Playback Speed | Slow down (0.25x, 0.5x) or speed up (1.5x, 2x) all videos together |
The player shows the current race time (from the original timer), not just the video timestamp. This means you can see exactly what time was on the clock when each athlete reached a particular point, making direct comparison meaningful.
With Director tier, you can enable Finish Line Mode inside the compare view. This lets you mark finishers and tag bib numbers using the same frame-by-frame tools available in the single-video player. Finish line marks appear on the timeline for each video independently.
Tap the share button to export a composite video with all selected videos arranged in their grid layout (side-by-side for 2, 2×2 for 3–4). The export renders at 1080p and includes the race timer overlay from each original recording.
Tip: Exported composite videos are great for sharing on social media or including in post-meet review sessions with your team.
Record the same athlete in practice each week, then compare their 200m form in February vs. April. Slow down to 0.25x and step through frame by frame to identify where they're losing time or improving technique.
After a meet with multiple heats, compare the top finishers from each heat side by side to see how the overall standings played out visually, not just by the numbers.
Put your kid's race from last season next to this season and see the improvement. Export the side-by-side and share it with family.
