Record races with the timer overlay rendered into every frame in real time.
RaceTimerPro records video directly from the camera and composites the timer overlay onto each frame in real time using GPU-accelerated Core Image processing. The timer, lap data, race name, and environmental data are all burned into the video.
| Quality | Resolution | Tier |
|---|---|---|
| Standard | 720p (1280x720) | Free |
| HD | 1080p (1920x1080) | Pro |
| 4K UHD | 2160p (3840x2160) | Pro |
Pro users can adjust the recording frame rate:
| Frame Rate | Best For |
|---|---|
| 30 fps | Standard recording, smaller file size |
| 60 fps | Smooth motion, good for fast action |
| 120 fps | Slow-motion replay at 4x slowdown |
| 240 fps | Ultra slow-motion for photo finishes |
Tip: Higher frame rates require more light and produce larger files. 120fps and 240fps are best used in daylight conditions. Not all devices support all frame rates — the app automatically detects what your camera supports.
With Pro, you can arm the recording before starting the timer. This captures video continuously in a buffer so when you press start, the recording includes seconds before the race began.
Free tier videos include a small "RT" watermark badge. Upgrading to Pro or higher removes it.
Video recordings include audio captured from the device microphone. The shared camera session pre-warms audio at launch to avoid delays when you start recording.
