Finish Line Tagging

Tag athletes in recorded video and create professional replay overlays. Requires Director.

How It Works

After recording a race, open the video in the Finish Line Tagging view. You can scrub through the video frame by frame and tag each athlete as they cross the finish line.

Tagging Athletes

  1. Open a recorded race video from the media library
  2. Scrub to the moment an athlete crosses the finish line
  3. Tap to mark the time and assign the athlete (by name or bib number)
  4. Repeat for each finisher

Each tag records the exact video timestamp and race time for that athlete's finish.

Director Overlay Export

Once athletes are tagged, you can export the video with a professional Director Overlay. This renders athlete names, bib numbers, places, and finish times directly onto the video at the moment each athlete finishes.

Overlay Options

SettingDescription
Athlete Display StyleShow name, bib number, or both
Overlay PositionWhere athlete labels appear on screen
Display DurationHow long each athlete's label stays on screen
Font ColorCustomize text color for visibility
BackgroundOptional background behind text for contrast
Show TimerInclude race timer on the overlay

Tip: The Director Overlay is perfect for creating professional race replays to share with parents, post on social media, or include in team presentations. Athletes see their name pop up on screen as they cross the finish line.

Fade Effects

Athlete labels smoothly fade in when they appear and fade out after the display duration. This gives the overlay a polished, broadcast-quality look.
